Team and Role:
The Project Accounting Manager is responsible for approving payment processing while ensuring budget control. This includes reviewing and analyzing all financial reports for each project, such as job costing, accounts payable, and month-end reports.

What You'll Do:

Accounting and Financial Reporting:

  • Present financial statements to management with insightful analysis.
  • Identify accounting and financial reporting issues, recommending data-driven solutions.


Project Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Collaborate with the project development team on actual versus budget reports for all projects, especially when there are significant variances between approved funding and actual spending.
  • Manage budget reallocations in coordination with the project development team.


Regulatory Compliance:

  • Plan and recommend policies to reduce tax exposure and minimize tax liabilities.
  • Handle tax audits and perform necessary reconciliations to address assessments and findings.


Systems Proficiency:

  • Create or update policies and procedures to improve processes.
  • Understand the complete accounting and hotel business processes.


Payable and Payment:

  • Oversee vendor payments and ensure service level agreements are met according to approved policies and procedures.
  • Ensure checks are funded before payments to vendors.
  • Evaluate whether approved funding aligns with the actual spending of the project development team.


What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
  • Certified Public Accountant.
  • At least 8 years of relevant accounting experience in real estate, hospitality, high-rise, and/or township developments.
  • Strong people management skills.
