Team and Role:
The Project Accounting Manager is responsible in approval of payment processing while ensuring budget control. This includes review and analysis of all financial reporting per project such as job costing, accounts payable and month-end reports.
What You'll Do:
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
- Present financial statements to the Management with meaningful insights and analysis
- Identify accounting-related and financial reporting issues and recommend data-driven solutions
Project Monitoring and Reporting:
- Work closely with the project development group on the actual vs budget reports of all projects, as well as cases when project has material variance between approved funding and actual spending
- Manage budget reallocation requirement in coordination with project development group
Regulatory Compliance:
- Plan and recommend policies to lessen tax exposure and minimize taxes due
- Handle tax audits and do necessary reconciliation to address assessment and findings
Systems Proficiency:
- Create or update policies and procedures related to process improvement
- Understand the full accounting and hotel business processes
Payable and Payment:
- Oversee payment to vendors and ensure SLA are met based on approved policies and procedure
- Ensure checks are funded prior payment to vendors
- Evaluate if approved funding is met vs actual spending of project development group
What We're Looking For:
- Certified Public Accountant
- At least 8 years of related accounting work experience in real estate, hospitality, high-rise and/or township developments
- Strong people manager
