STATION ZERO, BORACAY – With the increasing emphasis on sustainable practices for the global hospitality sector, Crimson Resort and Spa Boracay continues to set the pace for its peers in the luxury hospitality scene with its eco-friendly endeavors.

Over the past few years, Crimson Boracay has worked to make its operations more sustainable without compromising the quality of its amenities and services - a balance that it has achieved and continues to offer to every guest who flies in.

Today, the resort has done away with single-use plastics throughout the establishment. Rather than place PET bottles of water in guest rooms, Crimson Boracay offers glass pitchers in every room which may be filled at convenient dispensers along the halls.

Those seeking refreshment at any of the resort's bars and lounges will also find that plastic stirrers are a thing of the past, replaced by elegant and biodegradable ones crafted from bamboo.

Crimson Boracay also seeks to foster a mindset among its guests with regard to reusing the linens in their rooms. Cards placed in guest rooms are meant to educate guests on the merits of reusing their towels, an act that significantly reduces overall water use and the release of detergent residue.

The new staff garden initiative launched in Q1-2024 aims to encourage resort employees to become more proactive with regard to Chroma Hospitality's sustainability goals, particularly for the production of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients for Crimson Boracay's kitchens.

Guests, especially creatively-inclined youngsters, can also do their part to bring sustainability into their lives by reveling in the beauty of nature at onsite art classes with the resort's current artist-in-residence.

Meanwhile, gardens and other areas requiring water throughout the resort will be kept hydrated by way of Crimson Boracay's recently opened desalination plant which will purify seawater of salt and other impurities, making it safe for consumption throughout the facility.
